MFC Series on Negotiations - Part 1
Ron Wasserman, Longtime Committee Member at New York City Ballet Endorses Adam Krauthamer and MFC
Ron Wasserman served two stints on the NYC Ballet Orchestra Committee since 2000. He served as Co-Chairperson of the committee from 2013-2014, and Chair from 2015 to November of 2016.
In this video Wasserman discusses his experience negotiating contracts during the Gagliardi administration and his perspective of the qualities that Adam Krauthamer and the MFC team would bring to a negotiation.
“Adam Krauthamer is not one to lay claim to accomplishments to stroke his own ego. He is detail oriented and not absent minded. These are the kind of things that the 802 President needs and can be most helpful when they have these qualities,” says Wasserman.

Highlights of the video are:
“The challengers in this election, Adam Krauthamer, Karen Fisher and the entire MFC slate, will be a big improvement going forward.”
“Tino Gagliardi was at best an energy drain and at worst an obstacle to the contract…Having his ego involved was not helpful.”
Gagliardi and his team “came into important negotiation meetings sometimes unprepared and it fell upon us to remind them of what is going on no matter how absent-minded they are or jet lagged they are or how bad at attention to detail they are.”
“Adam and Karen are way more in tune with the way the music world exists in the 21st-century.”
“Adam is a very creative thinker, is seemingly tireless, and does one thing exceedingly well - listen to those around him and give advice as to your specific needs.”
This is Part 1 of an ongoing series. Look for further videos from other members coming soon.
